So…what does he do?

July 2, 2011

A few years back a friend of mine had a baby. It was the first baby anyone I knew had and so I asked a silly question, “So, what does he do?” The same question has now been asked to us. The answer is not much. My follow up question to my friend was, “well what do you do with him?” His answer was, “well, we just stare at him a lot.” That is basically what we do with Zachary. So far all Zachary actually does is eat, poop, cry (loudly), sleep, burp, fart, spit up and flail his arms (he is doing a lot of that in the video above). There is nothing else he does, that is a complete list.  He still needs to work his way up to basics like being able to roll over and hold his head up. Once he masters those skills I am going to teach him to do our taxes.

Zachary is a beautiful baby. The most important thing he does at this time is radiate LOVE in the purest and simplest form. Babies are also wonderful teachers…because without the aid of language they manage to communicate to their parents to handle their every need. They’re also patient…they will continue to cry as you fumble to figure out what they’re asking for and will stop when you get it right. Enjoy the journey.

That was actually a lot more movement than I was expecting.
