Burping and Putting our baby to sleep
After Zachary eats we have to burp him. If we do not properly burp him he will spit up (and he is really good at spitting up). To burp Zachary, I hold him against my chest and pat his back. I pat his back somewhat firmer then you would expect (if you do not have a baby and saw me doing this you might call the authorities). I also change it up from time to time and rub his back. The problem is that the method I use to burp him is also a great method for putting him to sleep. Unfortunately, he does those two actions not in the order you would hope. My wife and I then debate whether we should try waking him up to burp him. Sometimes we do and other times we just take our chances with spit up roulette.
