It has now been ONE HUNDRED DAYS with Baby Zachary

October 6, 2011

It has truly been a tiring and crazy time but I am proud to say that my boy Zachary Harrison Kaplan is 100 days old today. During these 100 days he has transformed himself from a completely helpless infant into a completely helpless baby. It is amazing to think of all the things he has accomplished over these last three plus months: he has almost doubled his body weight; his neck can now support his head; he can touch his hands together, he can touch/play with his feet; he can accidentally grab things; he can smile; he has learned to chill and not cry as much; he can sleep 8 hour stretches at night; he can make baby noises; he can see; he can follow things with his eyes; and maybe most important he can recognize mommy and daddy.  We have also spent the last 100 days getting pooped on, peed on, spit up on while changing over a thousand diapers. We have gotten used to a new sleeping schedule that many times excludes sleep. Lastly, we have become confident enough in our parenting skills to wake up each morning and pronounce that we will survive yet another day. It has been an awesome 100 days and my wife and I could not be more thrilled to have Zachary in our lives. Even though he may be fussy at times, he is a truly amazing baby and we love him dearly. We cannot wait to see what changes are in store for us over the next 100 days.

I have only been following this blog for less than a week and I’m thrilled with it. 🙂 It’s really awesome to have a Daddy blogging about his experiences with his child. Keep it up and it’s been really inspiring to read this 🙂

Thanks. I am really glad you like it. It is always great to have new people checking out and commenting on the blog. And, it is really fun to write about my son.
