One small step for man, one giant leap for a baby on all fours
Crawling has not happened for Baby Zachary but it looks to be coming soon. In a few weeks we are going to be in deep trouble as Zachary will roam about the apartment looking for things to break and wires to put in his mouth. It should be interesting to say the least. For a while we thought Zachary might bypass crawling and skip right to walking (it can happen as crawling is not a precursor to walking for babies). Zachary absolutely loves to stand, with our help of course. When playing with him on the floor he will constantly reach for our hands in an effort to stand. Any time we would put him on his stomach to practice/learn how to crawl he would freak. Then randomly one day he just started getting in the crawling position. He will rock back and forth and sometimes even move backwards but he has yet to take a step forward to crawl. Even though he can now get into the crawling position, he does not love when I force him into the crawling position. He prefers to randomly get in the crawling position on his own. The other day I was putting him down for his morning nap. I had left the room and had not heard a peep for a little while so I assumed he was finally asleep. I came into his room to find him rocking back and forth in the crawling position with the biggest grin ever on his face. I can tell he is anxious to get moving and cause a ruckus.
