Maybe he is just thirsty vs. Maybe he is going through a growth spurt

May 22, 2012

Wifey has accused me of too often thinking that the explanation for Baby Zachary’s odd behavior or fussiness or sleeplessness is that he is going through a growth spurt. While I cite “growth spurt” as an explanation a little too often, Wifey’s favorite explanation for any of Zachary’s actions is that maybe he is thirsty. She keeps trying to shove water down his throat whenever she gets the chance.

ME: Why did Zachary wake up screaming at 5AM???

WIFEY: Maybe he’s thirsty, let’s give him some water.

ME: Does Zachary seem a bit cranky to you today?

WIFEY: Maybe he’s thirsty, let’s give him some water.

ME: Man, I am having a tough time getting Zachary to sleep tonight.

WIFEY: Maybe he’s thirsty, let’s give him some water.

ME: Why is Zachary so small?

WIFEY: Maybe he’s thirsty, let’s give him some water.

ME: Wow, Zachary seems so happy today?

WIFEY: Maybe he’s thirsty, let’s give him some water.

The best part is Zachary never seems to want the water but Wifey still keeps on insisting on giving it to him. I don’t know if he has ever been thirsty for water in his not so long life.
