Don't mess with my Mommy and Daddy

Don’t mess with my Mommy and Daddy

One more note from Zachary’s 18 month appointment

DOCTOR: Can Zachary say at least 5 words?

US: He actually can say like 20 words, we are so proud.

DOCTOR: Can Zachary put any words together?

US: Together?

DOCTOR: Yes, has he tried to use more than one word together like in a sentence.

US: No, can’t you just let us be excited about him saying individual words.

I feel like things are never good enough. If he can crawl, the doctor will ask if he can walk, if he can walk the doctor will ask if he can run. For once I would like to have the doctor say, that’s great and leave it at that. I am pretty sure this is how our next visit will go:

DOCTOR: Can Zachary put words together?

US:  Yes, he actually can, we are proud.

DOCTOR: Can he speak in Haiku?

US: What???!!!!
