Which one is Mama???

January 17, 2013

Zachary can now say the words “Mama” and “Dada” and he mostly says those words in reference to us which is great. Though, he really only says those words when he is upset which is not so great. Also, it is not always clear when he calls for say Mama which parent he is actually calling. I decided to test him the other day with mixed results. On our wall is a big picture from our wedding and so I held Zachary up to see if he could figure out who was who:

ME: Which one is Mama?

Zachary points

ME: Yay, that is correct! Which one is Dada?

Zachary points

ME: Yay, that is correct! You are so smart. Which one is Mama?

Zachary points

ME: No, that is Dada. Which one is Dada?

Zachary points

ME: No, that is Mama. Which one is Dada?

Zachary points

ME: No, again that is Mama. You just pointed at her and I said that was incorrect. Which one is Mama?

Zachary points

ME: That’s Dada, erghhhhhh. Are you just guessing?

I have actually tried this a couple of times and it usually pretty much like that every time.
